In 1825, the July 13th groundbreaking of the D&H Canal took place in what became the Village of Wurtsboro, where it will be reenacted this year! This will be an historic weekend, as we celebrate Founder's Day on July 12, hosted by the Wurtsboro Board of Trade. This year's July 12th street fair, promises to be the biggest and best yet, followed by many more celebrations.
